Itzel is a three-room nightclub on Berkeley Street in Mayfair, occupying the space that was Funky Buddha for over two decades. The rebrand split the venue into a hip hop main room, a house-led basement called the Moon Room, and a late-night taqueria — a different proposition to the single-room club it replaced.
It makes a good birthday room for two reasons most Mayfair clubs cannot match: two different music policies on one booking, and food served late inside the venue.

Cost
Tables start at £600 minimum spend, higher on peak Saturdays and headline nights. Across ten guests that is about £60 each with entry included — against £50 a head just to get through the door without a booking. For a group of ten men, £500 goes through the door with nothing to show for it; £100 more puts everyone on a table with bottles.
Why It Works for Groups
Birthday parties rarely agree on music. Itzel is one of the few Mayfair rooms where that is not a problem — hip hop upstairs, house downstairs, one booking, and people drift between the two.
The taqueria is the other thing. Late food inside the club means a group of twenty does not fragment at 2am looking for somewhere to eat, which is how most big birthdays quietly end early.
Planning Notes
- Book early. Saturdays and headline nights go first; a fortnight ahead is sensible for a large group.
- Confirm the headcount. Adding guests later can move the minimum spend.
- Check IDs. Strictly 18+ and physical photo ID only — a phone photo is refused. See the age policy.
- Brief the group on dress. No sportswear, hoodies, shorts or activewear. See the dress code.
- Consider Thursday. Softer door, better value, and easier to hold a big group together.
How to Book
Send us the date, the group size and a rough budget. We will come back with availability and the minimum spend for that night, hold the table in the birthday name, and arrange sparklers or a presentation if you want them. There is no booking fee.
