Funky Buddha has closed; Itzel now operates at its Berkeley Street address. The Mayfair club no longer operates, so birthday packages, tables and guestlist places there can no longer be booked. We plan birthdays at the open venues below free of charge.
Where to celebrate instead of Funky Buddha
All are open and taking bookings through London Night Guide as of October 2026.
- Itzel (formerly Funky Buddha) at Funky Buddha's former address, 15 Berkeley Street, Mayfair: hip hop and house, open Thursday to Saturday.
- Rumour (formerly Tabu) at 1 Dover Street, Mayfair: one intimate room of about 200 built around booths, playing open format hip hop, RnB and house from Wednesday to Saturday, 11pm to 4am.
- Maddox on Mill Street, Mayfair: hip hop and house, open Thursday to Saturday.
- 99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club), entrance on Swallow Street near Piccadilly Circus: hip hop and RnB upstairs, house downstairs, Wednesday to Saturday, 11pm to 4am.
What a Funky Buddha birthday was like
For reference only, as none of this applies any more: London Night Guide used to arrange birthday nights at Funky Buddha with priority entry for the group, a dedicated table area and bottle service, for anything from a small gathering to a larger celebration. The same kind of night can now be planned at any of the clubs above.
