A birthday wants a room that does some of the work. Rumour is wall-to-wall red velvet with low lighting and a chandelier, so the photographs look good before anyone has done anything. Booking through London Night Guide is free.
Why Rumour Suits Birthdays
- The room is the decoration. Deep red, intimate, and it photographs extremely well.
- The group stays together. At 200 capacity with booths facing the floor, nobody drifts off and gets lost.
- One booking covers everyone. A table includes entry for the whole group — including the men, who cannot use the guestlist.
- 18+, so 18th and 21st birthdays both work.
Birthday Table Options
- Booth — from £1,000 minimum spend. The standard birthday booking, comfortable for roughly six to twelve.
- Peak Saturdays and event nights carry higher minimums and go first — book ahead if the date is fixed.
The minimum spend is what the group commits to spend on bottles, not a fee on top. Across ten people a £1,000 booth is £100 each including entry and drinks. See the table and bottle prices guide.
What Your Booking Includes
- Entry for the whole group — no separate guestlist, no queue
- A reserved booth held in the birthday name
- Bottle service with mixers, ice and glassware
- A host looking after the table
- Bottle presentation for the birthday moment — request it when you book
- Free concierge support start to finish
Group Sizes
Booths suit around six to twelve. Larger parties can be arranged across adjoining tables — give us the final number and we will lay it out so the group is together rather than split across a small room.
Picking a Night
Wednesday and Thursday are more relaxed and better value. Friday and Saturday carry the atmosphere but fill first — for a Saturday birthday, a week or more ahead is sensible.
Dress Code
Smart and elegant — heels for ladies, dressed up for men, no trainers. Worth telling the group in advance so nobody is turned away on the night. See the dress code guide.
How to Book
Send us the date, group size and rough budget. We confirm availability and the current minimum, hold the booth in the birthday name and arrange the presentation. No booking fee. Compare other venues in our birthday packages guide.
