The Box Soho NYE 2026 is a table only night, and the date is on its side. New Year's Eve 2026 falls on Thursday 31 December; The Box opens that night and tables should be booked early. The Box normally opens Wednesday to Saturday on Walker's Court in Soho, so New Year's Eve lands on one of its usual nights. There is no guestlist at The Box, on New Year's Eve or any other night: the way in is a table. What New Year's Eve at The Box Is Like
The Box is not a conventional club with a show added on. Time Out's listing for The Box traces it to the New York original, which opened in 2007, with the London branch following in early 2011, and describes cabaret shows of a high technical standard, compered through the night, that are often deliberately provocative and include nudity. Between the acts, DJs keep the room going.
That makes New Year's Eve at The Box a different kind of night from a Mayfair dancefloor. The room is built around the stage, the space is intimate, and the countdown happens in a theatre rather than a warehouse. It is not the place for a work party or anyone easily embarrassed, and it is worth saying that plainly before you book. How NYE Tables Work at The Box
A table is the only way into The Box, on New Year's Eve as on any other night. Holiday rules make it tighter.
- Minimum spend. The figure is what the table spends on drinks over the night, not an entry fee on top, and it covers entry for the group you book.
- Paying in advance. Holiday tables are usually secured with payment before the night rather than settled at the end. We confirm the exact terms with the table plan.
- Arrive by 11pm. The Box opens at 11pm and the shows run through the night; on New Year's Eve the group wants to be seated well before the countdown.
- A fixed group size. The number you book is the number the door expects. The room is small, so adding people on the night is rarely possible.
Table position matters more here than at a larger club. The tables with a clear view of the stage go first, and those are the ones worth booking early for. The door is selective and the dress code is smart and creative: tailored jackets, smart shoes and an evening look that shows effort, with no sportswear or caps. What NYE Costs at The Box
As of October 2026, tables at The Box start from £1,000 minimum spend on normal nights. NYE minimum spends are set by the club, are higher than a normal Saturday, and are confirmed when you book. The figure for a given group depends on the table position, the group size and how early the booking is made.
We will not quote a New Year's Eve price before the club sets one. When The Box releases its plan, we send registered groups the real figures, and you decide from there.
No Guestlist at The Box on New Year's Eve
The Box has no guestlist, and New Year's Eve is no exception. There is no free entry, no reduced entry and no list to join: anyone offering a guestlist place at The Box is offering something the club does not run. Entry is by table booking, which we can make for you.
If part of the group was hoping for a guestlist night, that is worth settling before the booking. A table at The Box covers entry for the whole group you book, so the simplest plan is one table for everyone.
When to Book
Book early. The Box opens on New Year's Eve, the room is small, and the stage view tables go in the order enquiries arrive. Sending us your numbers now costs nothing and commits you to nothing until you have seen the table plan and the minimum spend.
The busiest weeks for New Year's enquiries are the last three weeks of December. A group that settles its numbers and budget in November has the widest choice. If the Thursday does not work, Friday 1 January 2027 is a normal night at The Box, and the GOV.UK bank holidays list confirms it is a bank holiday, so a New Year's Day table is a strong second option.
Getting There and Home on NYE
The Box is on Walker's Court in the heart of Soho, a few minutes' walk from Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
Transport on New Year's Eve is the part most groups underestimate. As of October 2026, TfL had not published its plans for NYE 2026, so the best guide is last year. On NYE 2025 the Tube and DLR ran all night, but stations near the river closed or went exit-only through the evening: Charing Cross from 6pm, Westminster from 9:30pm, Embankment and Temple from 11pm, and Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus from 11:30pm. Those two stations were the last on that list, closing or going exit-only from 11:30pm, so a group heading to The Box should plan to be in Soho well before then, or walk in from a station further north.
Black cabs add an extra £4 to metered fares between 8pm on 31 December and 6am on 2 January, so agree the plan for getting home before the night starts.
If part of the group wants the Mayor of London's fireworks first, be realistic about it. The official London New Year's Eve 2026 page says the display runs on Thursday 31 December from 8pm to 12:30am, entry is by ticket only, tickets are sold only through Ticketmaster (up to 4 per person), and the first batch is on sale now with a second batch to come. A riverside midnight and a club table at midnight are two different nights, so pick one and plan around it.
