Rumour is an intimate late-night club on Dover Street in Mayfair, behind a deep red interior of velvet booths and low lighting. It opened in the space previously occupied by Tabu, under the same ownership but with an entirely new design and concept — smaller, darker and more considered than the room it replaced.

Tables are the centre of how Rumour works. In a 200-capacity room the booths are the best seats in the house, and for gentlemen a table is the way in — the guestlist is ladies only.

Minimum Spend

  • Tables and booths: from £1,000 minimum spend
  • Peak Saturdays and event nights: higher minimums apply — confirm at the time of booking

The minimum spend is the amount your group commits to spend behind the table on bottles and mixers. It is not a cover charge or a booking fee, and the table itself costs nothing. Across a group of eight, £1,000 is £125 each including entry.

What Is Included

  • Entry for your whole group — no separate guestlist needed
  • A reserved booth held in your name for the night
  • Bottle service with mixers, ice and glassware
  • A host looking after your table
  • Free booking and concierge support from London Night Guide

The Room

Rumour is built around deep red velvet booths and low, warm lighting rather than a big open floor. That makes it unusually good for groups who want to actually talk to each other — the table is somewhere you sit for the night, not a parking spot between trips to the dancefloor. At roughly 200 capacity it fills quickly and feels busy early.

Group Sizes

Booths suit groups of around six to twelve. Larger parties can be arranged across adjoining tables — give us your final number and we will lay it out so the group stays together.

Mixed and all-male groups should book a table rather than relying on the door, since gentlemen are not added to the guestlist.

When to Book

Fridays and Saturdays go first in a room this size. Wednesdays and Thursdays are more relaxed and better value if your date is flexible. Birthdays and larger groups are worth arranging at least a week ahead.

Dress Code

Smart and dressed up — heels for ladies and a considered look for men. No sportswear or trainers. Table guests are the most visible people in a small room, and the door applies the standard accordingly.

Location

Rumour is at 1 Dover Street, Mayfair, London W1S 4LD, a short walk from Green Park. The venue occupies the Dover Street space formerly known as Tabu, rebranded under the same ownership with a new design and concept.

How to Book

Send us your date, group size and rough budget. We come back with availability and the current minimum spend, hold the table in your name, and confirm before the night. There is no booking fee.
