Maison Close has closed. The Mayfair club no longer operates, so its age policy and door rules no longer apply to anyone, and there is no guestlist or table to book there. If you were checking whether your group could get in, the useful question now is the age policy at the open Mayfair clubs that offer the same kind of night.
Where to go instead of Maison Close
All five are open and taking bookings as of October 2026.
- 99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club) on Regent Street, near Piccadilly Circus: two floors of hip hop and house, open Wednesday to Saturday. See 99 Regent Street age policy.
- Selene on Winsley Street, near Oxford Circus: the closest match to Maison Close's house and electronic music policy, open Thursday to Sunday. See Selene age policy.
- Rumour (formerly Tabu) on Dover Street: a small, 200-capacity Mayfair room playing hip hop, RnB and house. See Rumour age policy.
- Maddox on Mill Street: one of Mayfair's busiest clubs, hip hop and house from Thursday to Saturday. See Maddox age policy.
- Tape on Hanover Square, which Time Out describes as a nightclub, recording studio and private members lounge: hip hop, RnB and Afrobeats for a dressed-up international crowd.

Age rules at the open Mayfair clubs
Every club in Mayfair is 18 and over by law, but the door is usually stricter in practice. Several clubs prefer guests to be 21 or over on Fridays and Saturdays, particularly men arriving without a booking, and some set a higher minimum on certain nights. A table booking or a confirmed guestlist place makes the biggest difference for a younger group, because the door team knows you are expected.
Bring a valid physical photo ID: a passport, a UK driving licence, a PASS-accredited proof of age card or an EU national identity card. Photos of documents, expired IDs and student cards are refused. If one member of a group cannot show valid ID, the whole group can be held up at the door, so check everyone has theirs before you set off.
What Maison Close's age policy used to be
For reference only: when Maison Close was open, it admitted guests from 18, with the usual Mayfair preference for men aged 21 and over on Friday and Saturday nights, and it accepted the standard forms of photo ID listed above. The venue has since closed, so none of this can be used to plan a night there.
