Maison Close has closed. The Mayfair club no longer operates, so it can no longer be booked and this review now describes a venue that is not open. If you were reading up on Maison Close to plan a night out, the open clubs below offer the closest experience, and London Night Guide books guestlists and tables at all of them free of charge.
Where to go instead of Maison Close
All five are open and taking bookings as of October 2026.
- 99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club) on Regent Street, near Piccadilly Circus: two floors of hip hop and house, open Wednesday to Saturday. See 99 Regent Street review.
- Selene on Winsley Street, near Oxford Circus: the closest match to Maison Close's house and electronic music policy, open Thursday to Sunday.
- Rumour (formerly Tabu) on Dover Street: a small, 200-capacity Mayfair room playing hip hop, RnB and house. See Rumour review.
- Maddox on Mill Street: one of Mayfair's busiest clubs, hip hop and house from Thursday to Saturday. See Maddox review.
- Tape on Hanover Square, which Time Out describes as a nightclub, recording studio and private members lounge: hip hop, RnB and Afrobeats for a dressed-up international crowd.
What Maison Close was like
When it was open, Maison Close was an intimate Mayfair club of around 250 capacity, built around house and electronic music with resident DJs and guest selectors, rather than the commercial hip hop of most of its neighbours. It opened from Wednesday to Saturday, 10pm to 4am, with Saturday as the busiest night. The crowd was well dressed and mostly in its twenties and thirties, the dress code was smart and elegant, and table service ran on minimum spends in line with other Mayfair clubs.
Which open club is closest to Maison Close
- For the music: Selene, on Winsley Street, is the open club closest to Maison Close's house and electronic sound.
- For a small, dressed-up Mayfair room: Rumour (formerly Tabu) on Dover Street, at around 200 capacity, is close in scale.
- For a bigger Mayfair night: 99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club), Maddox and Tape are the busiest open clubs in the area, with tables most nights of the weekend.
