While Tonteria, when translated in English means foolishness, we find the word so unfitting for this classy and kitschy latest venture of Guy Pelly, the same man behind the legendary Whisky Mist and Mahiki, and not to mention the best friend of the princes. Once you walk inside Tonteria, you will feel like you have been transported into a hacienda in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico without even boarding a plane.

As you can tell, Tonteria is a Mexican tapas lounge and tequila night spot located in the heart of Sloane Square. According to their website, “during early evening the venue specialises in offering yummy bite-sized Mexican tapas alongside delicious tequila cocktails. All are no doubt definitely great for enjoying with your friends.

If you feel like dancing the night away, stay in your seat because as the evening approaches, you will hear the DJ increase the level of the music while the lights dim turning Tonteria into a fun and festive night spot. They pride themselves on theatrical entertainment so look out for the Tonte performers who might get you do some dance. How cool is that?

The Box Club boasts one of the strangest night club experiences in all of London’s night life. This is hardly surprising though. After all, the club is based right in the heart of Soho.

The Box Club is deceiving. The exterior is nothing more than a wooden door. Inside you will find two stages, each of them draped in some of the most exquisite of decorations. There are acts at midnight every Wednesday to Saturday, many of them very sexual in nature (think along the lines of strip shows here), however from time to time there are other cabaret acts out there, perhaps one of the most popular being the fire-stunt shows.

The Box Club is unique insofar as the fact that it is one of only a few nightclubs in London which does not have a guest list!
