Libertine has closed; Selene now operates at 4 Winsley Street, Fitzrovia. Libertine no longer operates, so its guestlist, tables and drinks can no longer be booked, and this review is kept as a record only.
Where to go instead of Libertine
All are open and taking bookings through London Night Guide as of October 2026.
- Selene took over Libertine's space at 4 Winsley Street, Fitzrovia, near Oxford Circus: a futuristic room with iridescent walls and mirrored ceilings, running house-led nights Thursday to Sunday, 11pm to 4am, with private bowling lanes.
- BEAT is also in Fitzrovia, at 48 Margaret Street, with house music on Thursday (select nights), Friday and Saturday.
- Tape London at 17 Hanover Square, Mayfair, plays hip hop, RnB and Afrobeats on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Cirque le Soir on Ganton Street, Soho, has circus performers such as fire breathers and acrobats working the room to hip hop and RnB on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Libertine review, for the record
For reference only, as none of this applies any more: London Night Guide reviewed Libertine in January 2018 and gave it five stars. It drew locals and visitors from around the world, was a celebrity favourite, and was built around a big dance floor and a sophisticated sound system. The cocktail list was a highlight. Customer reviews were warm too: Abby S. called it her favourite club for great music and great people, and Vikki S. praised the decent music, friendly staff and fun crowd.
