Tape London entry price, as of October 2026: free through our guestlist, around £20 at the door if you walk in, and from £750 minimum spend if you book a table, which includes entry for the whole group. This page breaks down each way in, what the door actually charges for, which nights cost more, and how to plan around the 3:45am close. For the wider picture of the club itself, see our complete Tape London guide.

Tape London Entry Price at a Glance

Tape is a Mayfair nightclub at 17 Hanover Square, W1S 1HU, built around a working recording studio and a private members' lounge, as Time Out's listing for Tape London describes it. There are three ways through the door, and each one has a different cost.

Way in Typical cost (as of October 2026) What it gets you
Guestlist through us Free to join Your name on the door list and a confirmed arrival window
Walk-in at the door Around £20 Entry if the door team lets you in; never guaranteed
Bar spend From £150 A reserved spot at the bar with drinks to that value
Main section table From £750 minimum spend Entry for the group, a table, bottles and mixers
Booth table From £1,000 minimum spend A booth, entry for the group, bottle service
VIP table From £2,000 minimum spend The best positioned tables and a dedicated host

These figures come from our own booking desk and are qualified "as of October 2026" because Tape sets prices night by night. Fridays and Saturdays sit at the top of each range: a booth on a weekend typically runs from £1,500 to £2,000 minimum spend, while midweek tables start lower.

Is There a Ticket for Tape London?

People often search for Tape London tickets, but a regular club night at Tape is not sold as an advance ticket through us. You get in one of three ways: on the guestlist, by paying at the door, or with a table or bar spend booking. When the club hosts a special event or a live performance the format can change, so if you have a particular date in mind, message us and we will tell you how that night works before you commit.

The practical upshot is that "buying a ticket" for Tape usually means joining the guestlist (free) or reserving a table (minimum spend). Neither involves a booking fee from us.

Guestlist Entry

The guestlist is the cheapest way in and the one we recommend for most groups who do not want a table. Joining through our Tape London guestlist page costs nothing. Here is what it does and does not do:

  • It puts your name on the door list. The door team expects you, which matters on a busy Friday or Saturday.
  • It usually means free or reduced entry. Whether entry is free or discounted on the night depends on the night and the make-up of the group.
  • It gives you an arrival window. Guestlist spots are honoured up to a set time, so arrive within it.
  • It does not override the door. Dress code and group balance still apply at Hanover Square.

Requests are usually confirmed within a few hours, and same-day requests are often possible midweek. For Saturdays, ask a day or two ahead.

Walk-In Entry at the Door

If you turn up without a guestlist spot, walk-in entry at Tape is typically around £20 as of October 2026. It is not guaranteed. The door is selective, and on Fridays and Saturdays after midnight walk-in entry becomes much harder, because the room fills with guestlist arrivals and table guests first.

Three things improve your chances as a walk-in: arrive before midnight, dress to the club's smart, elegant standard with no sportswear (our Tape London dress code guide covers it in detail), and keep groups small and balanced. Large groups of men without a booking are the most likely to be turned away on any London club door, and Tape is no exception.

Walking in can work on a quieter Tuesday or Sunday. On a weekend, a free guestlist spot costs you nothing and removes most of the uncertainty, so there is little reason to gamble on the door.

Table Entry and Minimum Spend

A table booking includes entry for everyone in your party, so there is no separate door charge. You pay a minimum spend instead, which goes on bottles and mixers at the table. As of October 2026 our venue listing puts main section tables from £750, booths from £1,000 and VIP tables from £2,000, with weekend booths usually £1,500 to £2,000. You can book a Tape London table through us with no booking fee.

A few points worth knowing before you book:

  • The minimum spend is not a cover charge. It is the drinks value your table commits to, so you drink the money rather than lose it at the door.
  • Ask about service charge. We confirm whether it sits on top of the minimum spend before you book, so the total holds no surprises.
  • Group size shapes the table. Tell us how many are coming and we will match you to the right section rather than the most expensive one.

For the bottle menu itself, see our Tape London bottle prices guide.

Entry Price by Night

Tape is open on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (as of October 2026), from 11pm. The main room closes at 3:45am. Prices and pressure on the door follow the week:

  • Tuesday: the most relaxed night of the week. Guestlist spots are easier to secure and table minimums sit at the lower end of the range.
  • Friday: a busy night with strong demand. Book the guestlist in advance; walk-ins after midnight are unlikely.
  • Saturday: the busiest and most expensive night. Table minimums are at their highest and the door is at its most selective. A guestlist spot or table is close to essential.
  • Sunday: one of the easier nights to get in, and good value for a table compared with the weekend.

If price matters more than the night, Tuesday and Sunday give you the same room for less.

Little Tape: Is It a Separate Entry?

On Fridays and Saturdays, Little Tape, the smaller room next door at Hanover Square (formerly 1717 Hanover), runs as the after-party from 3am to 5:30am, as of October 2026. It is the reason a Tape weekend can carry on after the main room closes at 3:45am. If you plan to stay late, tell us when you book and we will explain how the move into Little Tape works on your night. Our Little Tape entry price page has the detail.

What Your Entry Does Not Include

Entry, whether free on the guestlist or paid at the door, gets you into the club. It does not include drinks, which are bought at the bar, and it does not include a seat: without a table or bar spend you are on the dancefloor and around the bars. If you are bringing a coat or bag, ask us about the cloakroom when you book, or travel light.

The music is mainly hip hop, RnB and Afrobeats, and the room is busiest from around midnight. Doors open at 11pm, so arriving between 11pm and midnight gives you the easiest door and the best of the night.

How to Book Tape London Entry

The simplest route is to message our booking desk on WhatsApp with the night, the number in your group and whether you want the guestlist, a bar spend or a table. We confirm the arrangement, the arrival time and the minimum spend if there is one, before you set off. Guestlist and table bookings through us are free of booking fees. Book the guestlist for a cheap, flexible night, or a table if you want a guaranteed space for the group from the moment you arrive.
