What Paper Club was like
For reference only, as none of this applies any more: Paper was a hip hop club of about 250 people near Piccadilly Circus, known for its DJs, a well-off crowd and visits from music names and celebrities. The door policy was dress to impress, and guests who ignored it could be refused: no shorts, and no sleeveless shirts or sports jerseys for men.
