Luxx has closed; Itzel (formerly Funky Buddha) has taken its place. The Mayfair club no longer operates, so its guestlist, entry and tables can no longer be booked. Itzel and the other open clubs below take bookings through London Night Guide free of charge.
Where to go instead of Luxx
All are open and taking bookings through London Night Guide as of October 2026.
- Itzel (formerly Funky Buddha) at 15 Berkeley Street, Mayfair, the club that has taken Luxx's place: hip hop and house, open Thursday to Saturday.
- Rumour (formerly Tabu) at 1 Dover Street, Mayfair: one intimate room of about 200 built around booths, playing open format hip hop, RnB and house from Wednesday to Saturday, 11pm to 4am.
- Maddox on Mill Street, Mayfair: hip hop and house, open Thursday to Saturday.
- 99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club), entrance on Swallow Street near Piccadilly Circus: hip hop and RnB upstairs, house downstairs, Wednesday to Saturday, 11pm to 4am.
- Tape London at 17 Hanover Square, Mayfair: hip hop, RnB and Afrobeats, open Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
What Luxx was like
For reference only, as none of this applies any more: Luxx was at 3 New Burlington Street, Mayfair, with Green Park the nearest tube station. It combined a restaurant, cocktails and live music with a club playing RnB, hip hop and house, and offered table service in booths from Tuesday to Saturday. The dress code was sexy and elegant with heels for women, and smart casual with a collared shirt and proper shoes for men, and the door refused anyone who did not follow it.
