Open Alternatives

Libertine has closed; Selene now operates at 4 Winsley Street, Fitzrovia. Libertine no longer operates, so its Wednesday guestlist and tables can no longer be booked. Selene opens Thursday to Sunday; the others below are open on Wednesdays.

Where to go instead of Libertine

All are open and taking bookings through London Night Guide as of October 2026.

  • Selene took over Libertine's space at 4 Winsley Street, Fitzrovia, near Oxford Circus: a futuristic room with iridescent walls and mirrored ceilings, running house-led nights Thursday to Sunday, 11pm to 4am, with private bowling lanes.
  • Cirque le Soir on Ganton Street, Soho, has circus performers such as fire breathers and acrobats working the room to hip hop and RnB on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
  • 99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club), entrance on Swallow Street near Piccadilly Circus, has hip hop and RnB upstairs and house downstairs, Wednesday to Saturday, 11pm to 4am.
  • Rumour (formerly Tabu) at 1 Dover Street, Mayfair, is one intimate room of about 200 built around booths, with open format hip hop, RnB and house, Wednesday to Saturday, 11pm to 4am.

What Libertine Wednesdays were like

For reference only, as none of this applies any more: Libertine's Wednesday was a midweek party with resident DJ JoJo, a night to kick back after a long day with music and drinks. The club drew locals and visitors from around the world, with a big dance floor and a sophisticated sound system. The dress code was smart casual and dress to impress.
