Libertine has closed; Selene now operates at 4 Winsley Street, Fitzrovia. The West End club on Winsley Street, just north of Oxford Circus, no longer operates, so its dress code, guestlist and tables no longer apply.
Where to go instead of Libertine
All are open and taking bookings through London Night Guide as of October 2026.
- Selene took over Libertine's space at 4 Winsley Street, Fitzrovia, near Oxford Circus: a futuristic room with iridescent walls and mirrored ceilings, running house-led nights Thursday to Sunday, 11pm to 4am, with private bowling lanes.
- BEAT is also in Fitzrovia, at 48 Margaret Street, with house and electronic music on Thursday (select nights), Friday and Saturday.
- Tape London at 17 Hanover Square, Mayfair, plays hip hop, RnB and Afrobeats on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Cirque le Soir on Ganton Street, Soho, has circus performers such as fire breathers and acrobats working the room to hip hop and RnB on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Check the current rules on the Selene, BEAT, Tape London and Cirque le Soir dress code pages.
What the Libertine dress code was
For reference only, as none of this applies any more: Libertine asked for a smart, stylish look. Ladies favoured sequin, open back and mini dresses with high heels and understated make up. Men were expected in a good shirt, smart trousers or dark jeans and smart shoes; casual wear and sportswear were turned away. The crowd was glamorous, and Cara Delevingne, Michelle Rodriguez, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan were among the faces seen there.
