Situated in the swanky One New Change development next to St Paul’s Cathedral, Jamie Oliver and Adam Perry Lang’s Barbecoa is an exciting new London restaurant. After getting together at Adam’s New York restaurant Daisy May’s, Jamie and Adam decided to join forces and open Barbecoa in London, celebrating the fascinating relationship between fire and food.

They cure their own meats and fish, churn a dazzling range of ices – even the oatcakes on the cheeseboard are made on site.

Duck & Waffle’s location on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a spectacular view of the capital, can do nothing more to impress even the most discerning restaurant diners. Run by the same company who run Sushisamba two floors down, the restaurant offers a slick ambience with service to match.

Try not to be put off by the bare interior of Hereford Road (there’s not a single picture on the walls) – Tom Pemberton’s British cooking provides all the visual nourishment you’ll need. Pemberton worked for the ground-breaking St John Bread & Wine, and the influence of Fergus Henderson is apparent.
