## Why Maddox Is a Strong NYE Choice

Two things set Maddox apart for New Year's Eve 2026. The first is the date: some of the West End's best known clubs, including Tape and Cirque le Soir, do not normally open on Thursdays, so their New Year's Eve plans are still a question, while Maddox opens that night. A group that wants certainty can book Maddox now and stop waiting on announcements.

The second is the finish. Maddox closes at 6am (as of October 2026), well after most West End clubs, so the night does not end an hour after the countdown. Midnight is the middle of the night at Maddox, not the end of it, and a table booked from 11pm gives the group seven hours rather than four.

- **Minimum spend.** The figure is what the table spends on drinks over the night, not an entry fee on top, and it covers entry for the group you book.
- **Paying in advance.** Holiday tables are usually secured with payment before the night rather than settled at the end of it. We confirm the exact terms with the table plan.
- **Arrive by 11pm.** On New Year's Eve the door is at its busiest in the run up to midnight, and a group that arrives early gets the countdown at its own table instead of in the queue.
- **A fixed group size.** The number you book is the number the door expects. Adding people on the night is rarely possible when the room is full, so give us final numbers, with the guys and girls split, at the start.

Maddox is 20+, so check the age of everyone in the group before booking, and bring physical photo ID. The dress code is Smart and Sexy on every night, holidays included: sportswear and casual trainers are the fastest way to be refused.

## What NYE Costs at Maddox

## When to Book

Book early. Because Maddox opens on New Year's Eve, it draws the groups that want a confirmed Mayfair table, and the best positions go in the order enquiries arrive. Sending us your numbers now costs nothing and commits you to nothing until you have seen the table plan and the minimum spend.

The busiest weeks for New Year's enquiries are the last three weeks of December. A group that settles its numbers and budget in November has the widest choice of tables. If New Year's Eve itself does not work for the group, Friday 1 January and Saturday 2 January are both normal Maddox nights, and [the GOV.UK bank holidays list](https://www.gov.uk/bank-holidays) confirms that Friday 1 January 2027 is a bank holiday, so plenty of groups make a second night of it.

## Getting There and Home on NYE

Maddox is on Mill Street in Mayfair, and Oxford Circus is the nearest Tube. That keeps it away from the river stations that closed early last New Year's Eve.

Transport on New Year's Eve is the part most groups underestimate. As of October 2026, TfL had not published its plans for NYE 2026, so the best guide is last year. On NYE 2025 the Tube and DLR ran all night, but stations near the river closed or went exit-only through the evening: Charing Cross from 6pm, Westminster from 9:30pm, Embankment and Temple from 11pm, and Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus from 11:30pm. With a 6am finish the group leaves on New Year's Day morning, so plan the journey home in advance.

Black cabs add an extra £4 to metered fares between 8pm on 31 December and 6am on 2 January, so agree the plan for getting home before the night starts.

If part of the group wants the Mayor of London's fireworks first, be realistic about it.
